May is Wildfire Awareness Month

More than 70% of Oregon’s wildfires are started by people, placing the power of prevention squarely in our hands. Public lands saw large crowds last summer, and land managers expect high numbers again this year. Additionally, many recreation sites across the state remain closed following the 2020 wildfire season.
May is Wildfire Awareness Month. Use this annual campaign from Keep Oregon Green to share PSAs and prevention information with your networks. For more wildfire preparedness and prevention information, visit keeporegongreen.org.
