Hey All,

As another fair season comes to a close, I'm left feeling incredibly grateful. It's easy to calcualte fair's success in the number awards and color of ribbons, but what truly stood out to me this year was the incredible number of helpers. I was overwhelmed by the number of people who went out of their way to help—families covering building host shifts, volunteers taking on barn duty, and everyone pitching in to keep the food stands running. I also noticed how often a kind word or an encouraging conversation could lift someones spirits. I watched members shake off disappointment and continue to cheer for other exhibitors and I'm proud of how we all came together to support one another. The numbers in the graphic below only tell part of the story, but they are a testament to our collective effort. It was a beautiful reminder that our success isn't just about what we achieve individually, but about the way we show up for one another. Thank you to all who made a different in these way.

4-H Educator

4-H enrollment will begin Sept 4th and we are excited to introduce our new Wisconsin 4-H Project Guide. This new guide is designed to help youth, families, and volunteers identify sparks and explore those project areas. The newly defined project area categories will allow youth to explore a wide range of interests within each project, find more resources, and connect to learning opportunities. Check out the new Project Guide for yourself on our website, and keep your eyes peeled as we will be posting additional resources on how to use and make the most out of this new tool! 

Grace S (Spirite Lake), Emmy S (Spirite Lake), and Logan T (Happy Hustlers) attended the WI 4-H American Spirit Trip, a 10-day bus journey to the East Coast and Canada. The trip, open to youth in grades 8-10, immerses participants in history and heritage by visiting several sites and learning about key events and figures. Grace's says "I had so much fun making so many connections and good memories! I’ve never been so grateful that a took a chance. I hope that with me talking about my experience someone else will get inspired to do the same; and make such good memories!"

Registeration for American Spirit is scheded to open Nov 10th. If you are elgible, consider attending!

The Sauk County 4-H Hall of Fame is a local recognition program that honors individuals who have made significant contributions to the 4-H program in Sauk County. Recipients get a plaque and a permanent spot on the Hall of Fame Tree located at the Sauk County Fair exhibit building. This year, two 4-H volunteer were honored with this award. 

Helen, longtime leader of the Sauk-Prairie Earthlings 4-H Club, is being honored for 33 years of outstanding volunteer service. Her thoughtful leadership, dedication to youth development, and commitment to community service have left a lasting impact on Sauk County 4-H. Helen’s legacy continues to inspire generations of young leaders.

John is being honored for over 25 years of dedicated service to Sauk County’s Farm Safety program. Thanks to his hands-on approach and commitment to accessibility, more than 500 youth—and even a few adults—have gained practical, life-saving farm safety skills. His impact continues to make farms safer and communities stronger.
