Walsh University Earns 2025–2026 Colleges of Distinction Honors, Marking Over a Decade of National Recognition |
Walsh University has once again been named a College of Distinction for 2025–2026, continuing its long-standing record of national recognition for a student-centered approach to higher education. This honor reflects the University’s commitment to academic excellence, affordability, and meaningful student outcomes. Walsh stands out for incorporating high-impact learning experiences such as collaborative projects, undergraduate research, global opportunities, and internships that prepare students to become ethical, service-oriented leaders. In addition to this national recognition, Walsh was also named a Catholic and Ohio College of Distinction, with the DeVille School of Business, the School of Arts, Sciences, and Education, and the Byers School of Nursing each earning focused honors for their rigorous, values-driven programs that combine academic rigor with hands-on learning. | Read More

International AI Conference to Be Held Virtually, July 31 |
Walsh University, in partnership with UCC Ghana, will host the virtual International AI Conference on Wednesday, July 31 via Zoom. Organized by Dr. Amy J. Heston, this free event invites participants from around the globe to explore advancements in artificial intelligence. Presentations will be 17 minutes long, followed by a 2-minute Q&A. Registration will remain open until just before the event, and Zoom links will be emailed to all registered attendees in advance. | Read More (PDF)

Help Us Welcome the Class of 2029 – Orientation Day, Friday June 20 |
Let’s rally together to show our Cavalier pride and warmly welcome over 90 of the 370+ incoming students and families to our first summer orientation on Friday, June 20! The day begins with prayer and continues with orientation sessions designed to ease the transition into college life. Students will participate in a Cav Nation resource fair and meet with various departments including financial Aid, IT, and academic support services throughout the day. Strong Turnout at Annual Walsh University Alumni Golf Outing |
Last Friday, 29 teams including more than 70 alumni participated in the Alumni Golf Outing at The Legends of Massillon. Thanks to the generous support of event sponsors including presenting sponsor Williams, the outing generated record revenue for the alumni association with proceeds supporting student scholarships and alumni programming. Walsh University and the City of North Canton recently highlighted their long-time partnership at the International Town and Gown Conference at Kent State University. Director of Marketing Sean Ferguson co-presented with alumnus and North Canton Deputy Director of Administration Benjamin Young ’20. Their session, Cultivating Community Together for 60 Years, highlighted shared milestones in growth, economic collaboration, and the recently formalized Partners Program.
