Arvada's Resident Rebate Program offers a rebate to offset City taxes for income qualified households. Eligible residents can receive $100 for the first person and $65 for each additional household member. 

Apply now, because the window to receive a rebate closes Aug. 31! This program runs annually from May through August.

More residents than ever are taking part in public comment during City Council meetings, and we see an opportunity to make this process work better for everyone. We are planning a resident engagement session this Fall that will make recommendations to City Council.

Arvada CoLab is an interactive, behind-the-scenes experience for residents who want to better understand their city and play a more active role in shaping its future.

Sessions are Wednesdays, Sept. 30 through Nov. 11, 6 to 8 p.m., with dinner provided.

The  Arvada Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is a volunteer emergency response team started in partnership with the City of  Arvada and the Arvada Fire Protection District. 

The CERT program educates volunteers in skills such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. Classes start Tuesday, Sept. 1.

Join Jeffco Parks & Open Space and the City of Arvada on the 25th Anniversary of 9/11 Remembrance Day. We will be picking up trash and debris in a trail clean-up near Arvada Reservoir and Highway 93 that Jefferson County identified as in need of volunteer support.

Low-income individuals and families, seniors, and people with disabilities may qualify for assistance on home improvement thanks to local developer Brothers Redevelopment, Inc.

The City partners with Brothers to provide critical home repairs and accessibility modifications on single-family homes as part of the Home Modifications and Repairs program.

The Aug. 18 City Council business meeting began by recognizing faith leaders for serving unhoused Arvadans, then City staff gave presentations on the mid-year financial report, drought, and Transportation Advisory Committee updates; members of the public offered public comment; Council then voted on truck purchases, whether to schedule a hearing on a land annexation, and more. Watch the full recorded meeting on YouTube and access the new Council Meeting Recap page for an at-a-glance overview of Council actions.
