Gresham-Barlow Community,
As part of our budget planning process, we reached out to you—our students, families, staff, and community members. Our goal was to share information about our financial challenges and give you meaningful ways to tell us what matters most in our schools.
To make participation as accessible as possible, we offered both in-person and online opportunities to get involved.
We had a strong turnout at our Budget Forum. Community members came together to share their values and priorities for our educational program. The conversations were thoughtful, respectful, and focused on the future of our students. Thank you to everyone who took the time to join us.
We also know that busy schedules can make it hard to attend an in-person event. That’s why we hosted a virtual forum with a live question-and-answer session. We also created a short video explaining our budget, the challenges we face, and the budget process.
In the end, more than 900 individuals shared their input through our online survey—thank you for making your voice heard.
Our district leadership team is now carefully reviewing all of the feedback from the forum and survey. Your input will play an important role in guiding our planning and next steps.
