A Message from Federation’s CEO Gil Preuss
This year’s High Holiday season arrived during a particularly tumultuous time. It is difficult to know how to cope when faced with what has felt like an endless series of catastrophic events – disasters, both natural and man-made. Meet Greater Washington’s Teacher of the Week at ROUTES
Aaron Bregman is a history teacher by day and hardcore Big Lebowski fan by night. Profiled this week by our friends at GatherDC, Aaron is also one of the talented educators teaching at Federation’s ROUTES: A Day of Jewish Learning on November 5 at George Mason University. Wondering what ROUTES is really like? As Aaron shares, “You show up, pick four learning sessions, have lunch, meet new people and leave with at least one new piece of life wisdom. There’s tons to choose from… rebranding Judaism, creating a sustainable kitchen, using media to talk about Israel, Jewish women making an impact and more. And if you’re a history buff – you better sign up for my session!”
