Men's Basketball Advances in G-MAC Tournament |
After a thrilling 66-64 victory over Trevecca Nazarene on Tuesday night, the Walsh Cavaliers men’s basketball team has advanced to the semifinals of the G-MAC Tournament. As the highest remaining seed, Walsh will host the semifinals and championship this Friday and Saturday in Alumni Arena. The Cavaliers will face off against #3 Cedarville at 5 p.m. for a semifinal match up. Following Game 1 on Friday, #8 Tiffin will play #4 Thomas More. The Championship game is set for Saturday at 3 p.m.

Track and Field Aim for Glory at NCAA DII Indoor Nationals |
Let’s also rally behind our Track & Field team as they prepare to represent Walsh at the NCAA DII Indoor National Championships in Pittsburg, KS. With Kya Epps sprinting in the 60 and 200m, Micah Gremling vying for a win in the 60m, and Dom Nutter showcasing his prowess in the Weight Throw, the stage is set for them to shine on the national platform March 8 and 9. Go Cavs!

Cavs for Life Baby Item Drive |
In honor of mothers Sts. Perpetua and Felicity in the month of March, Cavs for Life will be hosting a baby item drive on Thursday, March 14, in the David Center from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. All donations will go to local pregnancy resource centers (Alliance Pregnancy Center, Pregnancy Solutions, and The Pregnancy & Parenting Center). Whether you are embarking on your undergraduate journey or nearing graduation, the Graduate Admissions team invites you to join them for Coffee Conversations on Wednesday, March 20, at 11 a.m. in the David Center to discuss prospects in graduate school. You will have the opportunity to learn about the various graduate programs and tuition discounts available, explore resources provided by Career Connections, uncover potential graduate assistant positions on campus, and enjoy complimentary coffee or tea. Dr. Michele Tilstra (Occupational Therapy) and Dr. Tiffany Peets (Counseling and Human Development) collaborated on two articles published in peer-reviewed journals related to research related to students participating in the Counselors and Occupational Therapists Professionally Engaged in the Community (COPE) Program, which was funded through the Health Resources and Service Administration/ Behavioral Health Workforce Training Grant. Dr. Tilstra will also be presenting the research findings at the American Occupational Therapy Conference in Orlando, FL.
