Cultivating Community in 2020
Happy 2020!  Here we are already at the end of January!  Will 2020 be a year of world-wide perfect vision?  
We are passionate about our vision at CFI, and are so grateful for the large community that shares that vision.  In February we’ll be sending out our 2019 annual report, and we have to say: we’re super proud of it and of all the collaborations that took place to make everything happen in 2019.     

A lot of opportunities for connection and involvement are coming up at CFI in the next few months, so we wanted to spread the word.  Check these events out below, mark your calendars, and we hope to see you soon!

Join Us for Little Fish Festivities
A fundraiser to benefit CFI on Sunday Feb 16, 12-4pm. There will be fun kids activities, raffles featuring local produce and products, and lots of merriment! Little Fish will donate $1/beer purchased and Modern Woodmen of America will generously match all donations! We look forward to seeing you there!
Join CFI & Our Partners for FEAST Workshops
Have you heard about the FEAST workshop series?  FEAST is an acronym standing for Families Eating Affordably and Sustainably Together.  The series includes 18 workshops November 2019--April 2020. At each workshop we cook together, share a meal, and enjoy hands-on learning and demonstrations. Pre-registration is required. 

FEAST is made possible by some awesome collaborating.  Key partners/supporters include Live Healthy Appalachia, OSU Extension Snap-Ed, the Athens County Public Libraries, and Integrated Services -- along with many others!  
Join Us for Seed Mosaic Workshops at Athens County Libraries 
Eager for spring? Excited to be thinking of your garden? Come play with seeds and create your own seed mosaic!  Light snacks provided showcasing the sources behind our mosaic seeds!  These workshops are free, open to the public, and family friendly.
Join Us for Our Annual Member Gathering
Come out for the best potluck in Athens! We'll share food, reflect on another year of good work, and celebrate you all with our awards ceremony.  Saturday March 28, 5-7pm at the Athens Community Center, 701 E State St, Athens, Ohio 45701.
