The Department of Campus Safety has been made aware of a report of a sexual assault that occurred at approximately 2:00 a.m., on the south side of Washington Square Park, and we are sending this notice in order to make the community aware and in line with our requirements under federal law.
An NYU student reported that an unidentified individual forced the complainant into oral sexual intercourse. The complainant was on the benches on the northside of the public restrooms in Washington Square Park, when the complainant encountered the unknown male presenting assailant.
The complainant was offered support services by the University.
