12th National Gradutate Research Polymer Conference Record Success
The College of Polymer Science and Polymer Engineering was honored to host the 12th National Graduate Research Polymer Conference June 20-22, 2016. Over 500 attendees were present including 425 graduate students, 34 undergraduate students, and 29 post-doctoral students representing close to 80 colleges and universities. Sixty-six representatives from organizations, including representatives from popular polymer companies and labs like Eastman, Goodyear, A. Schulman and NIST were also part of the record attendance for this ACS sponsored biannual conference event. Thanks to this opportunity from the American Chemical Society Polymer Division the College of Polymer Science and Polymer Engineering was able to offer an Akron, Ohio experience along-side the rich tradition of providing an opportunity for students to share research, exchange ideas, and make connections in the polymer industry.
