Downtown Career Services — Career Labs and LinkedIn Workshop
Downtown Career Services is hosting two Career Labs, focused on building and editing strong resumes, that are virtual opportunities to work through resume formatting and content with support from members of our team. Additionally, they're hosting a new workshop, Wake Up with LinkedIn, to show students how to utilize their LinkedIn profiles effectively for building and maintaining new network connections.
If students don’t already have an active profile, they’ll be motivated to create one as a result of this event! We encourage you to share these events with your students so that the Downtown Career Services team can share valuable employer insights on resume writing with them and assist them in creating strong professional documents.

SafeWalk App Information
A new “Safe Walk” feature allows users to share their location, destination, and estimated arrival time with selected friends who can track the user’s trip on a real-time map. Friends will receive updates about the trip and, in the event of the unexpected, can ping police for assistance and relay critical location and timing information from the app.
In addition, the app’s Safety module has been updated to include safety tips and more information about crime prevention, with specific, relevant content for each of the campuses included in the app.
The app is a little bit tricky, once you download the LiveSafe app, you need to go back to the UCF app and click on the Safewalk Icon and then click on open the livesafe app. That will bring you to the UCF version of the Safewalk experience.
For more information, please click here; feel free to let Austin Bott know if you have any questions.
