NEW Update! 2025 SoCal HAB - Data Update

SCCOOS has compiled HAB data (observations of Pseudo-nitzschia spp. and domoic acid) in the Southern CA region from December to April 2025, including: weekly HABMAP sampling, continuous Imaging Flowcytobot (IFCB) data, CA Dept of Public Health data, and suspected domoic acid animal stranding reports from marine mammal rescue centers. (Featuring a new update, with data through April 14, 2025)

SCCOOS has released a report of CA HAB Conditions for December 2024 through February 2025, including a summary of the initial data from the onset of the ongoing HAB that began in late February. Includes a comprehensive summary of model outputs, real-time observations, preliminary stranding numbers, and public health/seafood advisories to keep our region informed about HAB activity along the California coast.
