It's Summertime at MilkWorks!

I hope your summer is off to a good start!
Enjoy our shortened summer version of Good Stuff. Like you, many of our staff are enjoying some vacation time with their families and slowing down a bit.
We have some new MilkWomen to introduce, and we want to share what is happening in the breastfeeding community. In the meantime, we encourage you to enjoy all the fresh produce at our farmer's markets and the longer days of sunshine (complete with fireflies!).
A very happy 4th-
Ann Seacrest, RN, IBCLC, Executive Director

Congratulations, Jenny, RN, IBCLC!

Jenny first became familiar with MilkWorks after the birth of her son Levi. She was struggling with breastfeeding and decided to make an appointment with an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant).
Jenny has been passionate about breastfeeding and helping mothers in our community ever since. In fact, she joined the Breastfeeding Educator team at MilkWorks O before we even opened our doors in March 2015!
Jenny recently passed her IBCLC exam and we are so excited for her achievement!

NEW Breastfeeding Educators at MilkWorks!

Our MilkWorks team is growing with the addition of two new Breastfeeding Educators! We are eager to welcome Ashley to MilkWorks O and Auriel to MilkWorks Lincoln.
Ashley & Auriel will help serve the front desk area - answering general breastfeeding questions, helping families at the popular baby weigh station, scheduling consultations, fitting nursing bras, providing breast pump education... You get the idea - our Breastfeeding Educators make sure this place keeps running!

Breastfeeding moms - survey opportunity!

You are invited to participate in a research study currently going on in the state of Nebraska. You're eligible if you are over the age of 19 & currently breastfeeding one or more children. This study is evaluating mothers’ experiences with physical activity while breastfeeding. Participation is EASY & involves completing a 10 minute survey.
The goal is to use this information to identify strategies to assist in program development to increase opportunities for physical activity for breastfeeding women.
If you are interested in participating, please click here to complete the survey. If you have further questions please contact Kailey Snyder {Kesnyder@unomaha.edu or 402.554.4843}.

Get Involved with the Coalition!
