Alabama Seal of Excellence Award |

On April 14, 2026, the Alabama Productivity Center received the 2026 Alabama Work-Based Learning Seal of Excellence.
The award, presented by the Alabama Department of Workforce and the Alabama Office of Apprenticeship at the Alabama Summit on Talent Retention and Work-Based Learning, honors organizations that demonstrate outstanding commitment to developing talent through innovative and impactful work-based learning programs.
Through APC’s comprehensive work-based learning initiatives, APC offers students opportunities to gain practical, real-world experience, develop professional skills, and connect with employers. This experiential learning model is fostered through collaboration among Alabama Colleges, businesses, and community partners.
This prestigious award highlights the impact of APC’s internship program on workforce readiness and economic growth in the State of Alabama.

During FY2025, the Alabama Productivity Center continued expanding hands-on learning opportunities through its internship program by connecting students with meaningful industry experiences across Alabama.
In addition to gaining real-world professional experience, interns received ongoing mentorship, career preparation support, and professional development resources designed to help them succeed both during their internships and as they transition into their careers.

Founded in 1986 on the campus of The University of Alabama, Alabama Productivity Center is a nonprofit organization focused on strengthening Alabama’s workforce, industries, and economic development through education, industry partnerships, professional services, and student engagement opportunities, including a unique internship program.
APC continues supporting businesses and communities across the state through workforce development, operational support, and collaborative industry initiatives.
