What to know today:

The annual Employee Appreciation Luncheon on main campus will take place on Wednesday, May 13, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at The Dish at McAlister Dining Hall. The event is hosted by the Office of Human Resources with support from Clemson Home.

Details for individual luncheons at statewide Clemson locations will be shared at a later date.

Gary Mercer and Jim Kaplan received the College of Engineering, Computing and Applied Sciences highest honor during an awards ceremony last week: induction into the Thomas Green Clemson Academy of Engineers and Scientists. Jie Huang, Thomas Kuckhoff and Toni Bloodworth Pence were also recognized as Outstanding Young Alumni.

The Clemson Cooperative Extension Service released a new production guide designed to help cut flower growers in the Southeast. The guide is available for free digitally, with printed copies available to purchase.

The Brook T. Smith Launchpad’s annual AI Symposium takes place tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Open to students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members, the event features six panels with more than 20 Clemson-affiliated experts in the field of AI and a pitch competition.

The June 30 performance evaluation deadline is approaching for staff members in select budget centers. All full-time equivalent (FTE) staff members with June 30 review deadlines will complete their annual performance evaluation, including all approvals, through OnBase-Performance.
