We are planning an exciting spring break this year. This year we are focused on “Celebrating the Collections!” Families are invited to get to know our research collections; we will have curated sets of scavenger hunts and colouring sheets, along with themed hands-on activities and half-hour highlights each day. Keep an eye on our website for more details coming soon!
Congratulations to Lily L. from York House School! The competition judges selected Lily L.’s photo entitled ‘If Trees Had Emotions’ as the winner in the K-12 classroom category.

Along with our classroom contest, researchers were invited to submit photos to their own competition. Check out the entries here

A significant expansion to the Beaty Biodiversity Research Center, located next to the museum, is underway and will continue into spring 2025. As with any major construction project, we anticipate delays and unforeseen circumstances – we may need to cancel or change our bookings and rentals at short notice. We thank you for your patience as we undergo this exciting transformation! Read more here!
The Beaty Biodiversity Museum will remain open during the expansion period, and operations will continue as normal.
The Beaty Biodiversity Museum is Vancouver's natural history museum, dedicated to building greater understanding, and a shared sense of community and wonder, around biodiversity. Follow us on our social media channels!
