Welcome Crystal McLaughlin

When Harry Potter went to Hogwarts, he got to really know himself and tapped into his inner strength and skills. He knew suffering and loss in his life. With the help of his parents and his friends, he found his way and his power. Perhaps these are some of the reasons Crystal McLaughlin feels such a kinship with Harry. Crystal is in her final semester of a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Regina (U of R). This month Crystal began her major social work practicum with Astonished! Crystal says that this time with Astonished! is helping her carry on. To read more……

Creative Options Regina at the Connections Showcase

Connections Showcase - Housing

On Tuesday May 14, 2019, REALM Foundation and Astonished! hosted the second in a series of connection showcases designed to connect individuals and families with services and service providers. This showcase focused on housing. A number of local organizations had displays promoting their housing services. This provided an opportunity for individuals and families to learn more about these services.

Representatives from Community Living Services Division, Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation, Sask Health, Sask Housing, and Inclusion Saskatchewan shared information about their services. For example, who is eligible, what is available, and how to access these services.

Adequate, safe, affordable, accessible, supported housing for young adults with complex physical disabilities continues to be an area where there is a great need.
The final Connections Showcase will take place on September 17, 2019. It will focus on Well Being and Community Engagement. For details click here ....
