Walsh University wants to ensure that Cav Nation is mindful of how students with autism spectrum disorder experience social relationships and interactions differently than our peers. To that end, we continue the university-wide autism awareness series with Jacob O’Connor, a student who describes what it is like having autism spectrum disorder. It is quite common for him to misunderstand others’ intentions in conversations, and his intentions are often misunderstood as well. By getting involved in co-curricular programs, he has formed positive experiences and relationships at Walsh.

Let’s Make it a “Maroon Out” on Saturday! |
In just two weeks of their inaugural season, the Cavalier STUNT team has played eight games, four on the road and four matchups at home including their historic first home game this past weekend! The home opener was electric – the stands were packed and the energy for the Cavaliers was high. Win or lose, the team feels the unwavering support of their fans propelling them forward. With every game, the athletes progressively gain experience in gameplay and strategy, which enhances their skill levels and fosters greater confidence and seamless unity as a cohesive team. They may be small in numbers, but never in heart. The STUNT team has an important game next Saturday and would appreciate the support of Cav Nation!
As a reminder, the women’s and men’s basketball teams will play in the Mayors Cup on Saturday, Feb. 17, at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., followed by Walsh’s STUNT vs. Malone at 7 p.m., and Ursuline at 8:15 p.m.
