  • Priscilla Pereschica. UC Santa Barbara was recently designated a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI), indicating that the campus is now at least 25% Latino. One graduate student who was happy to hear this news is Priscilla, whose dissertation research focuses on HSI's. Read her reaction to UCSB's new designation and her hopes for the future.
  • Zach Rentz. This year's Graduate Students Association president left a career as a corporate and securities lawyer in Philadelphia to study Philosophy as a Ph.D. student here. Find out what drew him to make that change in his life; and his goals and plans for GSA this year.
  • Andrea Adams. The Ecology, Evolution, and Marine Biology Ph.D. student has been named one of 20 recipients of a 2014 Switzer Environmental Fellowship.
