At some point during the rehearsal preparations for a show, we hold what is known as a Costume Parade. Actors don their costumes for the first time and "parade" across the stage while the costume designer and director confer and make notes.

Today we bring you a Costume Parade of an entirely different sort. Since the COVID-19 "Stay Home Saves Lives" order began in March, Cottage Theatre volunteer extraordinaire and costumer Rhonda Turnquist has been sewing up a storm. We thought you might enjoy taking a peek at her handiwork below. Hopefully all of these beautiful creations will appear on our stage someday!

Like every performing arts organization, Cottage Theatre faces some significant financial challenges as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. While we have been fortunate to receive one of the Small Business Administration Paycheck Protection Program loans, that funding covers only some of our expenses for a couple of months — and it is clear that it will be many months before Oregon moves to Phase 3 and performances like ours are permitted again.
