SPORT AT THE SERVICE OF HUMANITY LMU hosts the second regional Sport at the Service of Humanity conference, bringing the university’s sense of global imagination and its impacts into sharper focus. The June conference will bring together scholars, athletes, clergy, and other guests with an interest in how sports can unite people and effect positive change.

Feed the Hungry

During the summer, while many students are away, Campus Ministry relies on faculty and staff to help make sandwiches for the weekly Feed the Hungry program. Every Tuesday, volunteers gather in front of Sacred Heart Chapel to make and pack lunches that are then taken to Santa Monica to be shared. Individuals and departments are invited to join this effort.

Successes Keep Seasons Alive

What a week for LMU softball and baseball. Softball won their regional in the opening round of the NISC tournament and advanced to the championship round, earning the right to host the four-team tournament. Meanwhile, baseball swept the season-ending series against St. Mary’s and head north to face the Gonzaga in the opening round of the WCC Championships on Thursday. READ MORE
