Clybourne Park
FINAL WEEKEND!
Wickedly funny and fiercely provocative "Clybourne Park" to finish its run at the Erie Playhouse. Winner of both the Tony Award for Best Play in 2012 and a Pulitzer Prize in 2011, "Clybourne Park" is is a razor-sharp satire that confronts the intersection between property and race. The result is a troublingly funny play which argues, however much America has changed over the past 50 years, rooted prejudices remain intact. We also invite you to join us as we host a free talk-back session when this pivotal play comes to a close on Sunday, April 29. Held on the Clybourne Park set, on the LECOM Stage, this discussion will include cast members as well as community leaders, moderated by Ben Speggen of the Jefferson Education Society. We encourage members of the greater Erie community to join us in a positive and constructive dialogue about where we come from, and how we can use this information to encourage growth and solidarity among our neighborhoods.
Sunday, April 29, 2018, 5:00-6:00pm
Erie Playhouse, 13 W 10th Street, Erie

Junie B. Jones is coming to the LECOM Stage!
Junie B., along with all her 1st-grade friends, Herb, Tattletale May, That Grace, Lucille, and more, are coming to the LECOM Stage May 11 through 20. Junie B. Jones, The Musical – a delightful adaptation of four of Barbara Park's best-selling books, brought to life in a genuinely comical (and not strictly-for-kids) musical. Awaken a young person's desire to read with the sassy little diva, Junie B. Jones, and her adventures in first grade. It's Junie B.'s first day of first grade, and a lot of things have changed for her: Junie's friend, Lucille, doesn't want to be her best pal anymore and, on the bus, Junie B. makes friends with Herb, the new kid at school. Also, Junie has trouble reading the blackboard and her teacher, Mr. Scary, thinks she may need glasses. Throw in a friendly cafeteria lady, a kickball tournament and a "Top-Secret Personal Beeswax Journal," and first grade has never been more exciting.

We could not be more excited to announce the birth of Isla Elizabeth Daugherty, daughter of our Scenic & Lighting Designer, Christine Daughtery, and her husband and our Scenic Shop Assistant, Brendan.
