Dr. Olena Ciftci Delivers Hands-On Learning, Propelling Students into the Future of Technology-driven Hospitality
Dr. Olena Ciftci introduced students in her TCHT1-UC 1130 Hospitality and Travel Technology and Innovation course to Amadeus Business Intelligence (BI) tools during a lecture on “Data Mining and Business Intelligence.” Following the demonstration, students engaged in a group activity using Amadeus TravelClick's RevenueStrategy360, delving into the practical applications of BI in the hospitality sector. Dr. Ciftci commented: "This hands-on experience provides invaluable insights into data analysis, aligning with the course's broader goal of familiarizing students with technology applications in the industry."
Drawing from experience as a hotel data analyst, Dr. Ciftci recommends wider integration of Amadeus BI solutions in courses related to revenue management, business analytics, distribution channels, and similar subjects, underscoring its potential to provide students with the opportunity to work with industry-leading solutions in the technology-driven hospitality sector.
