Senior Abbie Broadway is a prime example of a leader who is not always in the spotlight. As the recent recipient of the prestigious Gold Key Award, Abbie was already well known at LA for the depth and breadth of her artistic ability. She serves as President of the Art Club, Editor of The Dreamer (our digital arts creative arts journal) and is currently enrolled in AP Art. But Abbie has also been active in our performing arts department, whether as stage manager or on the tech crew or helping build sets for theatrical productions, and is a former band member and high school chorister. She exudes the spirit of her Creator. Hear that passion in her own words. "Art is not just putting marks on a canvas. It's a way to fully immerse myself in the things I love. From building suits of armor to painting murals of my favorite characters, it's an all consuming expression of who I am and what I enjoy." Well said Abbie! She plans to major in Art Education at UTC. We eagerly anticipate the positive impact she will have on her future students.
