REMOTE LEARNING EDITION

Countdown to Our Virtual Magic Dragon Day

Spring is in the air and Magic Dragon Day is upon us. While we will not be gathering together at the Maypole this spring, we will still honor the spirit of Magic Dragon Day, cheer for blue and white, and celebrate our vibrant Dragon community.

Starting Monday, we invite you to join us for a host of fun virtual Spirit Week and Magic Dragon Day activities. We can't wait to see your Dragon pride and creativity on display! Be sure to share photos on social media with #STMSpiritWeek or email Anne McCoy at amccoy@stmschool.net for your chance to win a Nintendo Switch Lite.

Then, on Saturday, May 2, join us for our Virtual Magic Dragon Day. Stay tuned for details. Go Blue! Go White! Go Dragons!

MS Robotics Informational Meeting

As we prepare for the next school year, join us for a virtual First Lego League Robotics Informational Meeting for parents of rising 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students interested in learning more about the program.
The meeting will be held via Google Hangout on Thursday, May 7 at NOON.  Login codes are below.
St. Michael’s Middle School teams have enjoyed much success in FLL competitions, including invitations to the Virginia state tournaments and the FLL World Robotics Championship.
Join by phone: +1 405-356-8143 (PIN: 644021715)

Grade Level Meet-Ups

Thanks to all of our Dragons who have attended our fun Grade Level Meet-Ups. Moving forward, the above days and times will be our consistent weekly schedule from now through the end of May.

A Dragon Baby!

It is an exciting time for music teacher Philip Tickle and his wife Chelsea as they welcomed their first child, Michael Sutherland, into the world on April 23.
While they say that Michael was named after his maternal grandfather, we can't help but think that St. Michael's played a small hand in this sweet baby Dragon's name. (Just kidding!)
Please join us in extending congratulations and best wishes to Philip and Chelsea. Babies are certainly one of life's greatest gifts!

Show Your Dragon Pride!

For the rest of this school year, Dragon Dress days are now EVERY Friday! Whether blue or white, show your school spirit and wear your St M spiritwear with pride. Send us/tag your pics with #STMDragonsUnited. Go Dragons!

Mr. Hansen will be reaching out for help with readings and prayers. Resources for Your Family & Prayer Requests:
Mr. Hansen has compiled a site with resources for your family, prayer and meditation, ways to help others in RVA, religion class resources (optional) and a page to reach out about prayer requests or concerns for your family during this time apart. Or, if you would prefer, Mr. Hansen will be posting links from this site to his Google Classroom (Code: cni5f7k).
