Free UMA eSports Summer Camp for High Schoolers
|
The University of Maine at Augusta is hosting its first-ever UMA eSports Summer Camp. The camp is a free, on-campus opportunity for high school students interested in video games.Â
This four-week camp is open to rising 9th graders through recent 2025 graduates. The camp meets twice a week in June and introduces participants to competitive strategy, teamwork, and tournament play.Â

| Ultimate Citizens Film Screening
|
Join UMA for a special screening of the film Ultimate Citizens at Jewett Hall Auditorium on Wednesday, May 21st, at 6 pm. The film chronicles the remarkable journey of Jashmid Khajavi, an Iranian-American public school counselor, as he utilizes Ultimate Frisbee to foster healing and resilience among immigrant children.

The MEOC has an online application for its services. Dori Leadbetter, advisor with the MEOC, is here at URock Thursdays 10a-2p if you'd like to schedule an in-person appointment.
