A Special Talk From Nicolasa Sandoval Ph.D. `07
Education Director of the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians

We're excited to invite you to a special talk by UCSB alumna Dr. Niki Sandoval. She will share her graduate school experiences at a
roundtable discussion focusing on how she developed her personal pathway to becoming the first Chumash to earn her doctorate at UCSB. She will also discuss the importance of time management and "work/life" balance. We hope attendees will learn how to move forward with their graduate school goals while still maintaining their own sense of self and community.
Students can also gain insights from our guest speaker during the post-talk Q&A and through networking with fellow members of the Graduate Scholars Program and other members of the UCSB graduate education community.
