Congratulations to Thomas Schneider |
Thomas Schneider, construction project manager with Planning, Design, and Construction, demonstrates Everyday Excellence through his willingness to step in when projects encounter complex challenges and unexpected obstacles. Drawing on deep expertise, strong collaboration, and a solutions-focused mindset, he helped the Creative Quarter warehouse renovation team overcome significant issues, including water intrusion and permitting delays. By working closely with project partners, identifying root causes, and developing innovative, cost-effective solutions, Thomas helped keep the project on track and contributed to its successful completion while ensuring stakeholders remained informed throughout the process. Join Us for the Living Learning Campus Symposium |
The Office of Sustainability, in partnership with the Brook Byers Institute for Sustainable Systems and the Student Government Association (SGA), will host a Living Learning Campus Symposium on Wednesday, Oct. 7, at the Marcus Nanotechnology Research Center. The symposium will bring together partners advancing applied campus research, provide opportunities for strengthening collaboration across groups, and feature a pitch competition for SGA student sustainability funds.

Georgia Tech’s Avant South Brings ‘AI in Action’ to Atlanta |
Avant South returns to Tech Square on Oct. 12 – 13 to convene founders, executives, policymakers, investors, researchers, creators, and students to focus on the intersection of technology, culture, and innovation.

The 2026 Financial Summit will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 27, from 9 a.m. to noon in the Walter G. Ehmer Theater. There is also a virtual option for those who cannot attend in person.
This event will provide valuable information and resources for those who manage accounting and financial processes for the Institute. Presenters from central business units will share updates on Georgia Tech's financial systems and processes, along with current financial topics and initiatives aimed at improving efficiency and enhancing operations across campus.

Learn More About Education Assistance Programs for Employees |
Eligible full-time faculty and staff are encouraged to apply for education assistance through the Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) and the Staff Tuition Reimbursement Assistance Program (STRAP). These programs support your professional development and help you achieve your educational goals by providing tuition and mandatory fee waivers or reimbursements.
The application period for the spring semester is Oct. 15 – Nov. 15.

Attendees at the September A&F Connects learned how A&F is bringing service excellence to life. Using real-world examples in facility access, parking and transportation, student hiring, and technology innovation, teams across the division shared how they are improving the campus and workplace experience.
