E-VIEWPOINTS

HHS.TTU.EDU

June 2026

Alumni and Friends,

The college has been busy this summer, and we're looking ahead to an exciting fall semester. In this issue of E-Viewpoints, you'll find our latest news, upcoming events, and ways to get more involved.

If you haven't had a chance to review our recently released strategic plan, I encourage you to take a look. It outlines the bold vision guiding our college forward, and there's a meaningful role for you in that future.

The plan helps us focus on our mission and addresses efforts to impact lives. We will provide exceptional educational opportunities for our students, make new discoveries to improve society, and communicate and engage with the communities around us.

As we head into fall, we hope you'll consider getting involved, whether that's mentoring a student, attending an event, or simply sharing your story with us. Please take a moment to update your information and share your latest news with us. We look forward to connecting with you in the months ahead.

Tim H. Dodd, Ph.D.
Dean, College of Health & Human Sciences

The College of Health & Human Sciences and the Lubbock County Historical Commission celebrated the Cottage's recognition after nearly 100 years on campus.

As a Texas Tech alumnus, RCOBA graduate, and former College of Health & Human Sciences student with a minor in Personal Financial Planning, I have a personal connection to the college and a deep appreciation for its impact on students and faculty. I was also a member of the Red Raider Football team from 2017–2021. After spending the last several years in the financial services industry, I’m excited to return to Texas Tech and build relationships with alumni, donors, and friends of the college. - Casey Vehulst
