IUP Giving Tuesday Supports Student Assistance Fund

Celebrated the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, Giving Tuesday is a global movement in which communities rally toward a common cause. On December 1, IUP will mark this event by seeking support through social media and its Giving Tuesday website for the Student Assistance Fund, which helps students cover pandemic-related expenses.

“Stopping the Moment: How to Respond to Upsetting Remarks,” a virtual workshop for students, faculty members, and staff members, will take place Thursday from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. A repeat of the session from the first week of classes, it offers techniques for talking with people who have different views.
Sale runs through Friday, in store and online. From coffee mugs to crop tops, everything is 30 percent off, except for textbooks and Norm’s Bargain Corner items.
Sarah Scruppi ’18 was among the US Steel representatives who talked about the company, as well as internships and other opportunities, during a virtual presentation to students in IUP’s Eberly College of Business and Information Technology.
This week’s edition wraps up IUP Self-Care Day, discusses new partnerships within the division, and shares opportunities for collaborating among university colleagues.

Online Learning 101, a free, five-day, noncredit course, will be offered in January to familiarize students with tools used in online classes.
