Giving Tuesday: Your Gift. Their Future. |
|
|
Our Giving Tuesday campaign is officially underway! By now, you may have seen Jeanne’s inspiring story — a testament to the power of advocacy, independence, and community support. This year, your gift helps give back to the vital programs that empowered Jeanne and continue to uplift others in reaching their goals.
Every gift, no matter the size, helps create meaningful opportunities for people with disabilities to live more independent and fulfilling lives.

Last week’s Evening of Gratitude was a truly special celebration of the remarkable individuals at the heart of MARC.
We were honored to recognize 16 individuals for 25+ years of dedicated service, celebrating their accomplishments, growth, and the joy they bring to our community each day. We also expressed our appreciation to the community members whose unwavering support makes our work possible.
Congratulations to all of our honorees, and thank you for continuing to inspire us.

MARC had an inspiring experience at this year’s ARC Convention, joining advocates and ARC chapters from across the country. Our MARC family proudly represented our community as we learned, connected, and gathered new ideas to strengthen the work we do every day.
The powerful presentations and conversations throughout the convention highlighted the incredible impact our community continues to make. With ongoing growth and advocacy, we look forward to the day our individuals take the national stage to share their voices, stories, and experiences.

Every day at MARC, our mission comes to life through the extraordinary achievements of the individuals we support.
A huge congratulations to Paul and Kelly, who will be heading to Minneapolis to compete in the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games for Team Connecticut, an incredible opportunity to showcase their skills at the national level. We are so proud of them and can't wait to cheer on Team Connecticut!
Additionally, a special shoutout to Jill, who was elected as a Corporator of Hartford Hospital at their Annual Meeting. As part of the philanthropy department, she’ll be serving as an ambassador and making a meaningful impact in the community.
We couldn’t be prouder of all three individuals and the bright paths they’re paving!

Our annual Halloween Dance was a spooktacular success! A huge thank-you to Rocking Horse Bar & Grill for generously hosting us, Randy’s Wooster Street Pizza for donating the delicious food, and DJ Bobby Underground for keeping the dance floor lively all night long.
We were also thrilled to welcome Mayor Dan Champagne and members of the MARC Board, who stopped by to show their support and join in the fun. It was a night filled with music, laughter, and community spirit, a perfect way to celebrate the season!
However, the Halloween fun didn’t stop at our MARC Dance. On Halloween day, staff and individuals joined in a friendly pumpkin decorating and costume contest. It was the perfect way to close out the season — filled with creativity and plenty of festive spirit!
