Once Again Individuals Dwarf All Other Categories of Giving Based on the above chart from GivingUSA 2104 Highlights a total of $335 billion was contributed to nonprofits in 2013 in the U.S. Individuals gave 72% and another 8 % was donated through bequests for a total of 80%. In contrast, foundations gave only 15% and corporations gave 5% (a decrease of almost 2% from 2012).So if your nonprofit is surviving on grants you are missing out on a steady stream of resources!
