NASHVILLE, TN - (July 17, 2025) - Independent artist Kylie Frey releases her first new music of the year with the track, “Always Flowers,” an inspirational reminder that hope and beauty is all around. “Always Flowers” is available Friday, August 1st on all streaming services. A media-only preview version of the song is available here; with a pre-save link available here.
“‘Always Flowers’ is a love letter to myself to remind me to pause in the busyness and stress of everyday life and notice the beauty that God has planted all around us,” says Frey. “It’s my favorite kind of country song – a mid-tempo, feel-good song with a message to remember to stop and smell the roses.”
Written by Frey, Neal Coty and Thom McHugh, “Always Flowers” marks a new chapter for Frey as she charts a fresh course both personally and professionally. The new mom and soon-to-be-married singer/songwriter plans to release an EP this fall and has recently begun working with a new management team. Her latest single, “My John Wayne,” currently sits at No. 5 on the Texas Radio Chart.
Frey continues: “I’m now at a point in my life where I feel like things are starting to fall into place. As a songwriter and a performer, and probably just as a human being, I’ve sometimes felt an overwhelming need to ‘fix’ myself or I’ve struggled to measure up to an unattainable idea of who I should be. And now, even in hindsight, I’m experiencing that everything happens for a reason. I choose to embrace the light within myself, my music and those around me, and as Neal and Thom and I wrote - ‘there are Always Flowers for those who want to see them.’”
