2019 Teacher Externships

We are gearing up for the 2019 Teacher Externship Program.
For two weeks in July, dedicated teachers from Blackman, Christiana, Rocky Fork, Siegel and Whitworth-Buchanan middle schools will immerse themselves in the daily work of staff from Calsonic Kansei, Ingram Content Group, Nissan North America, TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center and Turner Construction.
We are so thankful for the support from our industry partners and the dedicated educators who continue to hone their knowledge for the benefit of students.

2019 Pinning Ceremonies

Nursing students from Rutherford County high schools participated in Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) pinning ceremonies May 7 at the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce. To participate in the pinning program, students had to complete coursework, clinical rotations and pass required national exams.
In total, 52 students from Blackman, Oakland, Siegel and Stewarts Creek High Schools accepted their pins along with a few hugs from their teachers in front of friends, family and district staff. After receiving their pins and certificates students turned to the audience to recite a nursing pledge.
