Dear families of Vanderbilt Class of 2024 graduates,
We will make an announcement soon about this year’s Graduates Day speaker and event details, and we will share information about other Commencement-related events as they are finalized. For now, we have a few details that can help you prepare to celebrate your graduate:
Commencement Ceremony Location: Geodis Park
- The Class of 2024 will have a unique backdrop for their May 10 ceremony. The undergraduate ceremony, scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m., will be held at Geodis Park, 501 Benton Ave., in Nashville. Generally, Commencement lasts about three hours. Concession stands will be open for guests to purchase food. We anticipate the ceremony ending around 12:30 p.m.
- The 30,000-seat stadium, four miles from Vanderbilt’s campus, is Nashville’s newest sports and entertainment venue. Home to Nashville SC, Geodis Park is the largest soccer-specific stadium in the U.S. and Canada.
- The ceremony will take place rain or shine, and other activities will be set up inside and around the outside of the stadium to provide students and their guests a place to socialize before and after the ceremony.
Guests unable to attend in person can view a livestream of the ceremony on the Commencement website.
Please stay tuned for updates about event logistics, hotel information and other essential details.
Sincerely,
The Vanderbilt University Commencement team
