Week of March 28, 2021

Thank You for Soaring With Us!

Thank you to all who tuned in on Friday night to support St. Michael's at our first-ever virtual auction.  A BIG thank you as well to ALL the volunteers who worked tirelessly to make the event such a success!
Post-Auction Item Pickup on Sunday:
  • For those that won auction items, item pickup will take place on campus this weekend on SUNDAY, March 28, from 2-4 p.m. in the Blue Carpool Loop (outside the library doors of Hubbard Hall).
  • Feel free to send a friend or neighbor to pick up your items(s) should you not be available during that time.

Easter Holidays

A friendly reminder that this Friday, April 2, and Monday, April 5, are school holidays and NO CLASSES WILL BE HELD. Have a blessed Easter!

Let's Be Good Neighbors. Please Drive Slowly!

As our campus is in a residential neighborhood, St. Michael's is asking for everyone's help with an important safety matter. This week, we have received communications and complaints from our neighbors in Traylor Estates expressing concern about excessive speeding as our families arrive and depart from School.
The posted speed limit in the neighborhood is 25 miles per hour, dropping to 10 mph around some of the curves. But even those speed limits can feel high if you are approaching a pedestrian exercising, walking a dog, or pushing a stroller -- especially given that the neighborhood roads are narrow and without sidewalks. Please SLOW DOWN.

We share the concern of our neighbors and encourage you to consider your child's safety and the safety of others when you are dropping off and picking up from the School.
We will also be monitoring those cars that are speeding as they enter campus grounds.

SHOOD Drive Service Outreach: April 5-16

As part of a school-wide service outreach initiative, St. Michael’s is pleased to be partnering once again with Shood (“Shoes for Good”) to collect gently-used shoes and personal care items for the homeless from April 5-16.  These donations will be assembled by Middle School students during study hall. Thank you in advance for your support!
Tubs will be placed in classrooms in the Lower School and at the front and back doors to Singleton Hall as students come to and from carpool.

The Lower School will collect the following:
-- K/1st Grade: collect two small foot powders each
-- 2nd/3rd Grade: collect two nail clippers each
-- 4th/5th Grade: collect two pairs of shoestrings (for running shoes, NOT dress shoes)

The Middle School will collect the following:
-- Gently used athletic shoes
