TRANSFORMING MOVEMENT BUILDING:
"Love With Power"

The Movement Strategy Center's new report, "Love with Power: Practicing Transformation for Social Justice" presents stories and innovative approaches to strengthen transformative movement building and practice.
2/26: IMMIGRANT INTEGRATION WEBINAR
On February 26th, the Immigrant Learning Center convenes expert panelists (including CSII's Vanessa Carter) for a free webinar offering immigration data, models, messaging, and faith-based strategies to create welcoming communities. 
2/27: PELA WORKSHOP on PUBLIC DATA for EJ 
On February 27, the Partnership for an Equitable Los Angeles (PELA) hosts a workshop with PERE's Madeline Wander on "Using Public Data for Environmental Justice Analysis." The training focuses on PERE's Environmental Justice Screening Method (EJSM) and measuring impacts of environmental hazards in low-income communities of color.

CHASM 

This month, the Capital & Main blog presents a new multimedia series on the "State of Inequality." As one of the inaugural essays of the series, "The California Chasm" by Manuel Pastor and Dan Braun calls for a new vision of more inclusive growth amidst widening inequality.

FEATURED EVENT: Turpanjian Chair in Civil Society and Social Change
February 5th was a proud day for PERE/CSII! Over 150 community partners, faculty, staff, family, and friends gathered in honor of Prof. Manuel Pastor's installation as the inaugural Turpanjian Chair in Civil Society and Social Change at USC. Many thanks to everyone who attended, and to those who sent congratulations via Facebook and Twitter!
