Career Navigator News is a biweekly newsletter from your Career Navigator, Katie Hendrickson.

Here's What I've Been Up To:

MEA break seems like a million years ago, right? I hope you took some time to rejuvenate! If you didn't...Thanksgiving is just a month away, so hang on!
  • I've been reaching out to businesses in each of the five school areas to thank them for past volunteerism with schools, and to encourage them to continue. If you have a connection that you'd like to pass along, please reach out!
  • One of my goals in reaching out to businesses is to encourage them to use FutureForward™ and to see if they would like to make a video about their business that we could load on the platform. In this very virtual world that we currently reside, the more opportunities we have for students to see what goes on behind the doors of companies, the greater chance for them to gauge interest in a future career.
  • I've been meeting with representatives from SEMA Equipment, Inc. to explore a work experience partnership.
  • Exploring the YST grant opportunity (See more about this farther down!)
Thank you for the supporting the efforts to increase career awareness and exploration activities for students!
