Comprehensive, Evidence-based Tier 1 Literacy Instruction 
Comprehensive Literacy Professional Development Series
Audience:  All K-3 educators
This series of ten professional development workshops covers the domains depicted in Literacy How's Reading Wheel. Each workshop provides an overview of the domain, relevant research, the developmental sequence, activities for instruction, and informal assessment. Participants can attend all or any of the workshops.

Expert Teaching is the Treatment for Students with SLD/Dyslexia
In response to Connecticut's recent SLD/Dyslexia legislation, Literacy How will offer:
Structured Literacy Professional Development Series
Audience:  All K-3 educators who work with struggling readers (special education, interventionists, etc.)
Structured Literacy is an explicit, systematic, cumulative, and diagnostic approach that benefits all types of learners, but is essential for students with SLD/Dyslexia.  This five-workshop, 30-hr series covers oral language, phonemic awareness, code, syntax, and comprehension and writing. All five sessions are required.

Embedded Coaching Support
In their role as coaches, Literacy How Mentors guide adult learners (i.e., teachers and administrators) on how best to translate and strategically implement their literacy knowledge in the classroom.  Coaching support can be a stand-alone contract OR added to any contract for professional development services.
