LAS VEGAS (Nov. 18, 2014) – Following the announcement of Iggy Azalea’s New Year’s Eve concert performance, Drai’s Nightclub at The Cromwell is excited to reveal that The Weeknd will perform two exclusive live concerts at the opulent 65,000 square foot nightclub for two successive Friday night performances: Jan. 2 and Jan. 9.  Adding to the excitement of the New Year’s Eve week celebrations, ADVENTURE CLUB will also help kick off 2015 with a just added Jan. 1 show.

Already known as one of Las Vegas’ premier nightclubs, Drai’s is quickly becoming the home to special, one-of-a-kind concert events. With its high-tech sound and lighting combined with its unique rooftop setting, Drai’s is the ideal setting to play host to The Weeknd, one of the fastest-rising, critically-acclaimed new artists of the year. Expanding the sound of traditional R&B with his slow tempos, rumbling bass, forlorn echoes and distinctive falsetto notes, The Weeknd will deliver a performance that is the yin to the Strip’s yang – combining the high-energy of Drai’s with his unrivaled musical styling.

In 2011, The Weeknd was merely a mysterious figure who uploaded three tracks to YouTube; creating a buzz that was immediate and global. Before the year was out, critics and fans alike were praising the truly original music coming from Abel Tesfaye, who performs under the moniker The Weeknd. 

With two albums to his credit, Trilogy and Kiss Land, The Weeknd’s star rose to new heights in 2014 and that momentum will continue as he launches into 2015 with his two live concert performances at Drai’s Nightclub.  Since opening Memorial Day Weekend, Drai’s has claimed the top spot amongst Las Vegas nightclubs, featuring unmatched rooftop views of the Las Vegas Strip perched 11 stories high atop Caesars Entertainment’s newest Las Vegas hotel and casino, The Cromwell, (located less than 100 yards from Caesars Palace at the iconic corner of Las Vegas Blvd. and Flamingo).

Just added to the line-up of shows will be a Jan. 1 show with ADVENTURE CLUB.  Hailing from Montreal, Canada, ADVENTURE CLUB - composed of Christian Srigley and Leighton James - has been a tireless source of banging remixes, uplifting summertime anthems, infectious DJ mixes and explosive live shows since the duo's musical trip took off in 2010.  THeir debut four-track EP Calling All Heroes (BMG) was released in the latter part of 2013 and hit #1 on iTunes Dance Album chart in the U.S. and Canada plus it ranked over 10 HypeM #1 hits.  In 2013, ADVENTURE CLUB was the #9 most played artist on SoundCloud.  Their song "Wonder," which appears on Calling All Heroes, recently peaked at #64 on Billboard's Canadian Hot 100 chart.  ADVENTURE CLUB's most recent track "Fade" featuring Zak Waters has garnered almost 1.9 million SoundCloud plays.  The show at Drai’s will provide fans the opportunity to see the dynamic duo perform live in an energetic and intimate atmosphere.
