Tickets on sale Tuesday!
You won’t want to miss out on all the fun – make sure to get your tickets to this year’s Doctors’ Ball, being held on March 8, 2025. Tickets will go on sale next week, October 1. For more information or to get your tickets, visit glms.org/doctorsball.
On Sept. 4, we kicked off the Wear the White Coat program with the “pre-op” breakfast, where community leaders, city officials and legislatives met their physician preceptor and learned all about the history of the white coat, HIPAA compliance, and more! We will come together again in November to hear stories of their experience and what they learned while shadowing. Congrats to the WWC class of 2024!
The GLMS Foundation Community Health & Wellness Committee participated in a community event on Sept. 12 in the Smoketown neighborhood and distributed over 800 pounds of fresh produce, 100 dozen eggs and fleece blankets to more than 100 people. If you’d like to get involved and help support events like this in the future, email foundation@glms.org.

What parts of your job bring you satisfaction
January – Beyond Borders: Health Care Around the World – due 12/1
If you’ve trained, practiced or served on a medical mission in another country, what similarities and differences do you see between our health care system and those overseas? What can we learn to better understand complex factors including quality, access, cost and regulatory standards?
February – Prescribing Change: Your Personal Journey with Advocacy – due 1/1
Please reach out to Kathryn Vance at kathryn.vance@glms.org if you’d like to share your thoughts in an upcoming issue.
