Triton Student System (TSS) is Now Available |
|
|
|
Dear Tritons,
The Triton Student System (TSS), UC San Diego’s new student information system, is now available to incoming undergraduate students. Thank you for your patience!
🚩 Google Chrome is the recommended browser for accessing TSS and booking courses, as users have reported issues using other browsers. Using a laptop or desktop computer is required to complete booking. If you use a mobile device or tablet, you may be unable to book courses or may experience issues.
🚩 TSS is unavailable nightly from 11pm to 7am PDT, including weekends, for system maintenance.

Although you can now access TSS, incoming undergraduate students are not yet able to book Fall Quarter 2026 courses. Please note that this follows standard university procedures and is not a result of or change due to the TSS implementation. See below in the section, “When will I be able to book courses,” for more information.
Complete the following actions to access TSS and review and update personal information:
|
- Review the TSS Login and Navigation Guide to learn how to log in, complete your first-time review, and find your Triton Student Number (TSN), personal details and other critical information.
-
Log in to TSS at http://sis.ucsd.edu using your Active Directory single sign-on (SSO) information. You can also access TSS from TritonLink by selecting the turquoise Triton Student System button in the toolbar.
- Find and take note of your TSN.
- Review your personal information for accuracy and update your address and emergency contact information. Use the Managing My Personal Details with TSS guide for step-by-step instructions.
- Review and confirm your program of study (major) in TSS.
-
Enter your direct deposit information in TSS. Direct deposit information previously entered in other university systems will not automatically transfer to TSS. Missing, incorrect or outdated information may delay university payments or stipends. For more information, review the Update Direct Deposit Information and Temporary Pause on Financial Aid Disbursements article.
- Review any active holds displayed in TSS. Additional guidance will be provided if a hold requires action before your booking period begins. For more information review the Viewing and resolving Holds in TSS training guide.
- Review My Appointment Times in TSS to see your booking window.
-
Before your assigned booking window opens, review the TSS Preparing to Book Guide and for information about booking windows and step-by-step instructions on how to book, drop and waitlist courses in TSS.
-
Review the options available for planning your schedule before your booking window opens. Visit the Plan Your Class Schedule page to choose the tool that best fits your needs.
|
At this time, incoming undergraduate students should not take any booking-related actions in TSS. You will receive a follow-up email by the end of next week with further instructions related to booking activities and actions. Additionally, you will not be able to book until your booking window begins as is listed in your My Appointment Times in TSS.
Until you receive the follow-up email next week:
|
- Do not attempt to book, drop or waitlist Fall Quarter 2026 courses.
- Do not submit Triton Enrollment Authorization (TEA) requests.
-
Do not submit a support ticket or report an issue for incomplete academic history or unavailable booking functions.
- Do not rely on unofficial sources for information about booking dates, access or required actions. Only official UC San Diego emails, TritonLink, and verified university webpages should be utilized for the most accurate and current guidance.
- Do not contact TSS Support because your transfer coursework, GPA or degree audit is not yet displayed, or because you cannot yet book courses. These are expected limitations for incoming undergraduate students at this time.
|
🚩IMPORTANT! Completing any of the above actions listed as “do not” may create errors that could impact your official booking later. While some booking-related tools may be visible to you in TSS at this time, this does not mean that you should begin submitting requests or taking booking actions.
| When Will I Be Able to Book Courses? |
Incoming undergraduate students will begin booking Fall Quarter 2026 courses August 31 and September 1. Your individual booking window should be visible now in My Appointment Times in TSS. As per standard university procedures, incoming undergraduate students for their first quarter are randomly assigned to booking windows. Booking window assignment is final and changes will not be made.
As you prepare for your booking window, your college and major departments have provided advising resources to you through enrollment webinars, advising sessions, newsletters or other communications throughout the summer to help you understand your degree requirements and prepare your schedule. If additional support is needed, follow up with your college and major academic advisors by submitting a question through the “Ask A Question” feature in New Triton Advising (vac.ucsd.edu).
Summer Session 2026 enrollment will continue through WebReg.

Academic History, Transfer Coursework, GPA and Degree Audits |
Since TSS is in its initial launch period, the team is still loading data and performing data validation. For the items listed below, please do not submit a TSS support request or ticket at this time. The team is actively working to finalize these elements.
|
- Academic History: UC San Diego Undergraduate Admissions is continuing to review incoming student transcripts and post transfer coursework and exam credit. As a result, your academic history in TSS may be incomplete when you first log in.
-
Transfer Coursework: Transfer coursework data is still being loaded into TSS and may not be visible for several more weeks, therefore missing transfer coursework at this stage does not necessarily indicate an error. Transfer courses, units and other academic information will be added as Undergraduate Admissions completes its review of your documents. Please do not submit a TSS support request solely because transfer coursework is not yet displayed.
- Cumulative unit and GPA calculations: This is temporarily unavailable for viewing in TSS while the project team completes additional validation. This does not affect your official academic record, and you do not need to take any action.
- uAchieve degree audits: This is temporarily unavailable through TSS during the initial launch period.
|
UC San Diego is providing enhanced support, known as hypercare, to help students during the transition to TSS. Tickets should only be submitted if you are experiencing a technical issue such as missing booking appointment window, login issues, etc.
Submit your issue once through an appropriate support channel, and provide as much information as possible. Submitting the same issue through multiple channels will slow response times. Urgent issues affecting student access, course booking, payments, academic progress and core student services will be prioritized.

Expect to receive ongoing guidance and updates throughout the next several weeks. TSS is one of the largest technology upgrades in UC San Diego history, and you may notice changes as services move from MyTritonLink into TSS. We appreciate your patience as UC San Diego moves through this important transition.
