At the same time, CavClass (powered by Canvas) will fully launch across all courses by Fall 1, creating a more intuitive and engaging learning experience. With easy access through MyWalsh and 24/7 tech support, CavClass will streamline how you access course materials, connect with faculty, and stay on top of your work.

Student Managed Investment Club Hits $1M Portfolio |
Walsh University’s on-campus student stock trading club the Student Managed Investment Portfolio (SMIP) hit a major milestone in its 12-year history this year reaching the $1,000,000 mark in its student-led investment portfolio. Walsh University Co-Hosts Canton AI Tech Innovation Summit |
On May 12 in the Barrette Center, join the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce and Walsh University for the 3rd Annual Canton AI Tech Innovation Summit—a premier half-day event helping organizations turn artificial intelligence into measurable business results. Connect with top executives, innovators, and professionals as you explore how AI is transforming productivity, workforce development, and decision-making across every department.
This year’s summit features a keynote by Heather Lenz, Founder of AI Navigator Collective, on moving beyond experimentation to building internal AI capability. Shout out to the Men’s and Women’s Rugby teams for their performance at the USA Club Rugby 7s Collegiate National Championships this weekend! Cavaliers Men’s Rugby finished 5th in the nation while the women’s team finished 15th! Great performances from both!

Let’s give a warm Cav Nation welcome to Rose Hammel, who joined Walsh University as Housekeeper on April 20th. Rose’s previous experience includes working as a Middle-school teacher, volleyball coach and youth running club leader for the district.

Congratulations to Walsh University students Wellington Mukahiwa and Kaden Moser for earning 2nd and 3rd place in last week’s Stark Tank Canton business pitch competition. Both students received monetary awards to support the development of their ventures.
Wellington presented NetShell, an all-in-one server management app designed for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Kaden introduced Oblique Audio Equipment, an innovative turntable capable of playing virtually any record format without compromising sound quality.
