In the case of snow, ice or power outages, the Head of School may decide to close School, delay School opening, or in rare instances, send students home early. These decisions are communicated as soon as the decision is made in these ways:
- Parents notified by text message.
- Announcement posted on the St M Facebook/ Twitter pages, plus the Website home page.
- Recorded message on the School telephone answering machine.
- Broadcasted on NBC 12's School Closings list.
- Best efforts are made to announce the decision by 6 a.m. on all information outlets.
Please note: School Closed- All School buildings, Administrative offices, and Extended Day are closed. All school activities are canceled unless otherwise announced.
Delayed Opening- Schools will open one or two hours later than usual. Field trips are canceled. As always, doors open 20 minutes prior to the start time. No Morning Gym is provided.
Extended Programs: When the School is closed, Extended Day Programs will be closed. As such, Morning Gym will NOT be open on Delayed Opening Days.
While the weather outside may soon be frightful, hopefully, this information will make SNOW a bit more delightful.

Meet the Head of School Candidates
The Search Committee is excited to welcome to campus three excellent Head of School candidates. One finalist will visit the School on each of the following dates this week: December 10, 11, and 12. All are invited to meet the candidates during open drop-ins on these dates from 8:05 to 8:35 a.m. in the Hubbard Hall Library.
Brief bios of each candidate will be sent out the night before each of the meet and greet sessions. (This is a change requested by the search consultant.)
If you plan to attend the Meet the Candidate sessions, please drop-off any students in the regular car loop first, park in the East (Gym) Lot and enter directly into the Hubbard Hall Library. If you cannot attend, please share any questions or thoughts with the Parent Advisory Committee as they will meet with each candidate. The names of all Advisory Committee members may be found on the School's website. Thank you for your support.

Christmas Break
Can you believe that Christmas is only 16 days away?! A friendly reminder that St. Michael's Christmas Break is from noon on December 19-January 2. Classes resume on Thursday, January 3.

Middle School Holiday Dance
Middle Schoolers, join us for the Holiday Dance on Friday, December 14, from 7-9 p.m. in the Great Hall.
Admission is $8 at the door (cash only please) or $5 if you bring a donated coat or gloves. Be sure to wear your most festive, tacky holiday attire as we will have a contest to chose the most holiday-spirited outfit! Note: Drop-off and pick-up for the dance will be in the West (Green) loop at the front door of Singleton Hall.

Box Tops Due By December 14!Be sure to send in your boxtops as this contest round ends on December 14! The winning class/homeroom will celebrate with both a dress down day and ice cream party before the holiday break. This is a fantastic and easy way to support our School!
