National Volunteers Week: April 20-26We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our 4-H Volunteers for their unwavering dedication and support. Your commitment to empowering youth and fostering community spirit is truly inspiring. As a token of our appreciation, we will be recognizing some of our volunteers during National Volunteers Week, April 20-26. Thank you for making a difference! If you have an outstanding volunteer who wasn't featured throughout the week, please submit a shout-out for them, as there are several opportunities throughout the year to recognize the amazing volunteers we have in the 4-H program!

National Extension Conference on Volunteerism
Tracy will be presenting at the 2025 National Extension Conference on Volunteerism, April 21-24. She will be out of the office April 21-25. Please contact Sarah or Sherry with any needs while she is out. Tracy is excited to bring back new ideas to implement in the program here.

FDL 4-H Dairy Judging Practices
We are thrilled to announce upcoming Dairy Judging practice sessions! Get ready for some fun and educational experiences at the following locations:
- Thursday, April 17th at 6:30 PM Location: Kamphuis Farms LLC

Cloverbud Pumpkin Contest
Cloverbuds will receive pumpkin seeds to plan for the annual pumpkin contest held in the fall. It will be on a Saturday, October 18. Pumpkins are evaluated on being the largest, roundest, smallest, and other categories. Club leaders will receive seeds to distribute to all the Cloverbud members in their clubs. Along with the seeds, the cloverbuds will receive tips on how to grow the pumpkins.
If you don’t have room to grow pumpkins, the seeds can be planted in the community gardens located on the corner of Grove Street and Pioneer Rd in FdL. If you’d like to reserve a spot, please call the Extension Office at 920-906-4620.

4-H Shooting SportsWe are thrilled to announce that archery will be offered this year, with the possibility of air gun classes as well. These activities are open to youth in 3rd grade or older who are registered 4-H members.
Class Details:- Dates: Tuesdays and Thursdays in May (May 1, 6, 8, 13, 15, 20, 22, 27, and 29)
- Time: 5:30-7:30 PM
- Location: Izaak Walton League, N6491 County Trunk K, east edge of Fond du Lac
- Cost: $2.00 per night for each session
Parents are encouraged to stay for the classes to assist our certified shooting sports leaders. Attendance at the first class is particularly important for receiving essential instructions and background information. Call to Action: We are in need of more shooting sports volunteers. | Teen Leaders Association
The Teen Leader's Association (TLA) Monday, April 28 is the next TLA Meeting. The group will be meeting at Fleet Farm at 6:00 pm to shop for donations. The business meeting will follow shopping at Rolling Meadows. A guest speaker will be talking about Arbor Day.

4-H Summer Day Camp Youth Leaders Wanted
We are seeking youth leaders to help teach activities during our Day Camps this summer! Adult Leader Meeting
The 2025 spring adult leader meeting will be Wednesday, April 30, 6:30 pm at Fond du Lac County Campus room AE-205/206. All general leaders are encouraged to attend. Cloverbud Pumpkin seeds will be distributed to club leaders to get to the Cloverbud members. Raffle tickets will also be distributed at this meeting.
