Nashville Fashion Week Runs Through April 9
Nashville's city-wide celebration of Nashville’s thriving fashion and retail community, and its vast array of creative talent, continues through April 9. Featuring local, regional and national designers and industry professionals, there are an array of creative events to attend through the week. Learn more and get tickets today.
Various Venues | Through April 9
Tin Pan South is the world’s largest songwriters-only festival that focuses on the songwriter and his or her writing. Currently in its 24th year, the festival boasts 300+ songwriters and produces 90+ shows, over 5 nights, in 10 different venues throughout Nashville. Tin Pan South is produced by and benefits the Nashville Songwriters Association International.
First Tennessee Park | Thursday, April 7 - Thursday, April 14
The Nashville Sounds opens up their 2016 season with an eight-game homestand against the Oklahoma City Dodgers (April 7-10) and the Colorado Springs Sky Sox (April 11-14). Opening Day, on April 7, is packed with special festivities. Gates to First Tennessee Park will open at 5:00 p.m. At 6:20 p.m., Mayor Megan Barry, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch. NBC's "The Voice" contestant Evan McKeel will sing the national anthem. During McKeel's performance of "The Star-Spangled Banner," the Sounds will honor our servicemen and women. More than 100 soldiers from Fort Campbell Kentucky's 101st Airborne Division will unfurl the American flag across the entire outfield of First Tennessee Park.The night will wrap up with fireworks!
The 2016 season is the Sounds' 19th year in the Pacific Coast League and their second as the Oakland Athletics' top affiliate. 

Ryman Auditorium | Saturday, April 9 at 8:00 p.m.

The world-renowned Fisk Jubilee Singers® perform at the historic Ryman Auditorium in a benefit concert honoring their history as Nashville’s earliest ambassadors of music and to help celebrate the 150th anniversary of Fisk University’s founding in 1866. Making special guest appearances will be gospel singer CeCe Winans, legendary bluesman Sam Moore, southern rocker Jimmy Hall and singer-songwriter Ruby Amanfu, among others. 

Nashville Zoo at Grassmere | Sunday, April 10 at 2:00 p.m. 
Go to the Zoo at Grassmere for free! Nashville’s “Week of the Young Child” kicks off at Nashville Zoo. Children 2 to 12 years of age will receive free admission to the Zoo after 2 p.m. Local organizations geared toward children will have booths set up throughout Entry Village with activities and information.
Public Square Park | Saturday, April 9 from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
The Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival is a family-friendly celebration of spring and Japanese culture, featuring taiko drumming, the magic of a roving Japanese Candyman, traditional and contemporary Japanese music and dance, martial arts demonstrations, arts & crafts, anime, merchandise, children’s activities, sumo-suit wrestling, the Pups in Pink Parade, a Cosplay Contest, Japanese food and the Cherry Blossom Walk hosted by Sister Cities of Nashville. 
White Bluff Civic Center | Saturday, April 9 at 7:00 a.m.
Join friends and neighbors for an active and fun-filled morning to show your personal commitment to staying healthy and to support Dickson County! Proceeds from the 5K will benefit The Community Foundation for Dickson County and the grants it has distributed to nonprofit organizations and schools across the community since 1999. The top male and top female runner will each win $100 in cash! Top runners in each age group will also receive a gift card to a local business or restaurant.

Schermerhorn Symphony Center | Sunday, April 10 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Three dynamic entertainers and a swingin’ big band will whisk you away to the Sands Hotel Copa Room as they deliver spot-on renditions of “Volare,” “New York, New York,” “My Way,” “That’s Amore,” “That Old Black Magic,” “Fly Me to the Moon,” “Candy Man,” “Memories Are Made of This,” “I’ve Got You Under My Skin” and all your favorite standards. Now in its 17th smash year, The Rat Pack is Back boasts over 5,000 performances in over 40 states and three foreign countries and over 1.5 million tickets sold. 

Regal Green Hill Cinema | April 14-23
The longest-running and largest film festival in the south, the 47th edition of the Nashville Fim Festival presented by Nissan takes place April 14-23 at the Regal Green Hills Cinemas and at venues through Nashvillle. Open to the Public, The Festival includes over 271 films (48 of which are premieres), including narrative features, documentaries, shorts, plus panels, music events and parties.
