Losing a Legend

Frank Cignetti Sr., who coached the football team for 20 seasons and served as athletics director for more than a decade, died Saturday at 84. A recipient of two IUP degrees, he led the football team to the NCAA Division II playoffs 13 times and to the national championship game twice. Cignetti was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2013, the same year IUP named the football field in in his honor. Read more on the Athletics website.
