Dear Class of 2030,
Welcome to Christendom College! My name is Kaelan Hsu, and I am the Director of Academic Success here at Christendom. I can’t wait to welcome you to campus in August! As you prepare to begin your collegiate studies, I would like to share some of the academic resources available on campus so that you can begin planning for your academic success at Christendom.
We offer a wide variety of academic support services at no additional cost to our students. These include tutoring in math and language courses, access to an excellent Writing Center staff, office hours with our faculty, and workshops on time management, note-taking, study skills, test preparation, and learning styles. We also offer an Academic Mentor Program, which pairs students with experienced upperclassmen who can assist them in embracing the academic life. I highly encourage you to take advantage of these resources. If you would like to learn more about any of these offerings, please let me know!
Another valuable resource we offer at Christendom is Academic Coaching. If at any point during the semester you feel overwhelmed or unsure where to turn, you are always welcome to stop by my office to discuss a path forward. I am ready to listen to your concerns, help you create a personalized study plan, and support you as you work to stay on track with your courses and assignments. My door is always open to you!
Finally, we also offer reasonable Academic Accommodations for students with diagnosed disabilities or other impairments that may affect their experience at the College. If you are interested in pursuing academic accommodations, please contact Mrs. Katie Summers, our Academic Accommodations Specialist, by July 31st to begin the application process.
