Join us to celebrate Earth Day at our newest event! The event is going to have: animal visitors from the Denver Zoo, a storytime reading of The Lorax and The Giving Tree by Jefferson County Public Libraries, bike safety checks/tune-ups with BikeSource Littleton, as well as visits from GOCO's Generation Wild, the Denver Audubon Society, Douglas County Search and Rescue, Putney/National Geographic Student Travel, Mad Science Summer Camps, MA Open Space Staff, MD Environmental Education and Parks Staff, and the KC Conservation Club. There will also be a face painter! The event is sponsored by Rob Stewart with State Farm and Gravina's Window Center of Littleton.

Ken-Caryl Conservation Club Earth Day EventsThe Ken-Caryl Conservation Club is organizing three different Earth Day projects for the entire Ken-Caryl community to participate in.
The Willow Stake project will take place on April 20 from 12-2 p.m. Participants will be given a small willow sapling to plant in the open space. Everyone will work together at one location to plant this cluster of willow stakes. This is a great project that kids can do and get a little muddy, too! RSVP to kencarylconservationclub@yahoo.com so we can let you know where this project will take place. The other two events will be profiled in future editions of the e-News.

Hogback Hustle 5K & Fun Run April 28The 12th Annual Hogback Hustle is April 28! The 5K is at 9 a.m., and the 1-Mile Fun Run is at 10 a.m. The scenic course starts at Bradford K-8 North Campus and travels through Ken-Caryl Valley. This event is open to the entire community. Both runners and walkers are welcome, but please do not bring dogs to this event. All proceeds from the run will benefit programs for Bradford K-8 Schools.
