Dear Faculty, Administrators and Staff,
We are delighted this month to award course releases for fall 2023 or spring 2024 to a total of 19 different faculty across the College of Arts and Sciences, Stillman School of Business, School of Diplomacy and International Relations, School of Health and Medical Sciences, and the emerging College of Human Development, Culture, and Media. We were pleased to have a substantially larger pool of competitive applicants and to be able to support their work.
Goal 2 of the Strategic Plan calls on the University to strengthen our support for faculty research and scholarship, and that commitment includes this increased investment in releases to accelerate research and scholarship or enable faculty to perform what the Faculty Guide refers to as "unusual academic or research assignments," above the academic work expected for a given faculty rank. We look forward to seeing the results in the coming year or two: they will include articles, books, edited journal volumes, and more!

Reminder: Graduate Open House on Saturday, February 25
Seton Hall University will host its annual Graduate Open House this upcoming Saturday, February 25. The program is a wonderful opportunity for prospective students to connect with current graduate students, faculty members, and staff to learn more about their program(s) of interest, as well as get answers to questions regarding the application and admissions processes.
Early bird tours are expected at 11:30 a.m., while the formal program will begin with the general session in Bethany Hall at noon, a tabling session during which attendees can engage in conversation with representatives of any of the University’s more than 130 graduate degree and certificate programs. Following the general session, prospective students will have the opportunity to attend a variety of college- and program-specific breakout sessions. Critical students support services will be on hand, including University Libraries, career services, and financial aid.
Given the essential role that the faculty plays in and out of the classroom as it influences student thinking and contributes to students’ important choices concerning graduate school, career direction, and vocation, the participation and support of all for this year’s program is, in advance, very much appreciated. Anyone who has questions pertaining to the upcoming Graduate Open House is welcome to reach out to Dr. Chris Cuccia directly, or the Office of Graduate Affairs at shugrad@shu.edu.

Provide Your Feedback on Seton Hall’s Technology Offerings
TLTR's Mobile Computing Committee has developed a survey to gather information about how faculty use technology at Seton Hall. This important survey will provide a better understanding of the evolving needs of the University’s constituents and help to steer the future of technological initiatives, policies, and practices. The survey is intended for faculty who have teaching responsibilities, not staff or those in exclusively administrative positions. Respondents will be entered into a raffle to win Apple AirPods! Complete the Faculty Survey.
